6 Baby's milk teeth
begin to form under gums. |
7 Morning sickness ends
around now, however many women still suffer. We hope it gets better!

8 Baby's body hair,
including eyebrows and lashes begin to grow. Small hairs called lanugo
covers baby's body and face. Most of it falls out before birth. |
9 Right now your baby's
skin is translucent. If you could see your baby, you would also be able
to see his/her bones and organs, too!

10 As your belly
continues to grow, it will put pressure on your bladder, causing you to
urinate more frequently. Overcrowding on your digestive system may also
cause heartburn and indigestion. Try eating smaller meals at more
frequent intervals. |

13 Baby's getting
strong: Mom you might feel some movement. This is called the quickening.

tanning booths, and super hot showers. You want to keep your body heat
low and not "boil" the baby. |
15 Walking, biking, and
swimming (all in moderation unless you have permission to go harder)
help keep mom fit and make the delivery easier. |
16 This is a good time
to register for childbirth/pain management classes. Will you be
breastfeeding or bottlefeeding? If you plan to breastfeed, sign up for a
class, or attend a local La Leche League meeting. |
17 Many healthcare
providers administer ultrasounds around this time. You don't have
to have one, unless a problem is suspected or you're curious. |

21 Real hair and
toenails are beginning to grow. Baby continues to urinate and drink
amniotic fluid, which is exchanged every three hours. |

point, have developed all the eggs they'll ever have in their ovaries.
These eggs might grow into other babies in later years when she is an
adult. |
23 You'll probably find
that everyone, co-workers, friends, family members all want to give you
every detail of their birth stories. Take it in stride. Try to focus on
those that have positive stories with wonderful outcomes. |
24 The brain is rapidly
developing. Fatty sheaths that transmit thought are forming. Eating
protein is very important to help develop this. |

the baby's first stool is developing. You'll see a lot of this come out

mother's heart and stomach. These types of sounds are comforting to a

fat called brown fat develops. This keeps baby warm at birth. It also
provides nourishment while your milk is coming in. |
